Manzili the lion wanted some fun
He prowled round the world and could only find none
He was feeling depressed, about to be done,
When a strange thing happened on the streets of Taiwan.

The music was lifting, a new sensation,
It parted the clouds and brought out the sun
Manzili was shocked, Manzili was stunned!
By golly he said. Well, son of a gun.

He rushed round the corner, breaking into a run
But what he saw shattered all expectation.
A mass of fur as big as a mountain
Sat at a piano, the keys a-poundin.

Beautiful tones off the buildings resounded
Passion and energy flowed and surrounded
His tusks kept the time, and his trunk helped with playin
And time all but stopped in this musical haven.

Dad? he finally whispered when the music was done.
The mountain turned around. Manzili, my son.
He rushed into the arms of the great mastodon.
How long since hed left, how long hed been gone!

I thought you were extinct as tears started to spawn.
I thought you were a trophy he said, eyes withdrawn.
He taught him to play and they played until dawn.
Song after song after song they went on.

Now you may think theres been some confusion
A mastodon begets lion, there seems no solution.
Let me respond with circumlocution.
